A passenger plane carrying 14 passengers skidded off the runway during landing at Pamalican Airport in the Cuyo Islands, northeast of Palawan, on Saturday morning. The incident, which occurred at around 8:20 a.m., was attributed to bad weather conditions in the area.
The aircraft, a DHC 6-400, was operating under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The plane is currently situated in the middle of the runway. The CAAP's Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AAIIB) is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause and to ensure future safety.
