Luzon Experiences Amihan-Induced Temperature Drop

Good morning, everyone! Many parts of Luzon woke up to noticeably cooler temperatures this Wednesday morning, thanks to the prevailing northeast monsoon, or Amihan. PAGASA reported some delightfully chilly readings:

Baguio City: A crisp 14.6°C

La Trinidad, Benguet: A slightly warmer 16.3°C

Several other areas also saw temperatures dip below 20°C:

● Itbayat, Batanes: 16.4°C

● Calayan, Cagayan: 17.9°C

● Tanay, Rizal: 19.0°C

● Casiguran, Aurora: 19.5°C

● Coron, Palawan: 19.5°C

● Malaybalay City: 19.5°C

● Abucay, Bataan: 19.7°C

● Aparri, Cagayan: 19.8°C

While this cool spell is a welcome change for many, it’s worth noting that this current Amihan surge is expected to weaken by Thursday. However, fear not, cool-weather enthusiasts! PAGASA forecasts a fresh surge arriving by the weekend.

In addition to the cooler temperatures, Amihan is also bringing light to moderate rains to the eastern section of Luzon. So, be sure to grab your umbrellas if you’re in those areas!
